Certified Welding of Steel Structures under IWE/EWE Supervision

The welding process at Pestal Projekt is a precisely controlled technological sequence carried out in accordance with PN-EN ISO 3834-2 and EN 1090 standards. We combine advanced welding methods (MIG/MAG 135) with uncompromising engineering supervision. We weld structural and fine-grain steels, ensuring full penetration and ideal joint geometry. Every job is based on qualified WPQR procedures, guaranteeing the structure's resistance to extreme fatigue loads.

NDT of Welds — VT, PT, MT, UT

Zero tolerance for hidden defects. We employ certified diagnostic personnel who verify weld joint integrity at every stage of prefabrication. We carry out inspection of fillet and full-penetration butt welds - from continuous surface control to in-depth diagnostics of internal structures. We detect micro-cracks, porosity and material discontinuities before the structure moves on to assembly or painting, ensuring failure-free operation under critical load conditions.

  • Visual Testing (VT) and Penetrant Testing (PT): 100% surface inspection with rapid detection of micro-cracks.

  • Magnetic Particle Testing (MT): precise localisation of subsurface discontinuities in the heat-affected zone.

  • Ultrasonic Testing (UT): non-invasive, in-depth inspection of the weld cross-section and verification of full joint penetration.

  • Acceptance documentation package: complete acceptance records and NDT protocols recognised by auditors across Europe.

Protective Coatings and Anti-Corrosion Protection in Classes C1–C5M

We apply advanced technical coatings that protect steel against aggressive environments, erosion and chemical corrosion. We combine meticulous surface preparation (shot blasting and abrasive blast cleaning) with the application of multi-layer paint systems and abrasion-resistant rubber and polyurethane linings. This ensures that components operating in mines, process industries and offshore conditions retain full integrity for decades.

  • C1–C5M paint systems: selection and application of coatings for environments ranging from lightly aggressive to marine, with extreme salinity (offshore).

  • LINATEX linings: lining of equipment interiors and separators with natural LINATEX rubber, offering outstanding abrasion resistance and vibration damping.

  • Polyurethane protection (PU): application of smooth, tight polyurethane coatings for components exposed to wet and abrasive material flow.

  • DFT measurements and protocols: ongoing dry film thickness and adhesion control, documented in the final acceptance report.

TÜV SÜD Certification and Full EU Regulatory Compliance

We eliminate the need for lengthy pre-qualification audits - our infrastructure, procedures and staff hold a full set of recognised European approvals, including execution certification up to Execution Class EXC2 under EN 1090-2, covering the full scope of standard industrial and structural applications.

  • PN-EN ISO 3834-2: Full quality requirements for the welding of metallic materials under TÜV SÜD supervision.

  • EN 1090-2: Execution standard for load-bearing steel structures up to Execution Class EXC2, entitling products to be CE-marked for the EU market.

  • NDT personnel certification: Diagnostics carried out by personnel certified in accordance with PN-EN ISO 9712 for the VT, PT, MT and UT methods.
